Quantitative protein array results of sera from 104 patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) (the total group; NF1 _total ) compared with 41 healthy controls (Co). Differences were highly significant for: (A) interleukin (IL)-6, (B) interferon (IFN)-γ, (C) epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), (D) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α. None of the other proteins tested showed significant differences between the two groups. Statistical analysis was performed using the non-parametric Mann–Whitney U-test, including Bonferroni correction.
