Expression of ISCU1/2 is negatively correlated with miR-210 expression. Measurements of ISCU1/2 and miR-210 expression were determined by qPCR and normalised to β-actin or an average of RNU43 and RNU48 expression. qPCR for each sample was performed in triplicate. (a) ISCU1/2 mRNA level is decreased in cc RCC tumours (T) compared to normal adjacent tissue (N) (n = 31), whereas the inverse expression pattern is observed for miR-210 (P ≤ 0.0001). (b) A significant inverse correlation is observed between the miR-210 and ISCU1/2 expression level in both normal and tumour tissue (r = -0.679, P ≤ 0.0001) (n = 62).
