Models were adjusted for age, sex and baseline body weight. For single transcripts, the significance threshold was chosen as P <2.0 × 10⁻⁵ corresponding to Bonferroni correction for 2,537 metabolite-related transcripts. Genes are sorted by their module membership strength, as determined by the correlation of transcript level with the module eigengene. Gene annotations were derived from the UCSC data base.
