Michael Barry is president of the nonprofit Informed Medical Decisions Foundation and Chief Science Officer at Healthwise. Healthwise’s mission is to help people make better health decisions. He is a past president of the Society for Medical Decision Making and the Society of General Internal Medicine in the US. He has led many prominent research studies including the Patient Outcome Research Team for Prostatic Diseases. He continues to practice primary care and serves as medical director of the John D. Stoeckle Center for Primary Care Innovation at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is also a part time professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and a Master of the American College of Physicians
