New prediabetes cases based on any of the following criteria met on subsequent laboratory testing: (1) fasting glucose 6.1 to 6.9 mmol/L, (2) 2-h glucose 7.8 to 11.0 mmol/L on 75-g OGTT, or (3) HbA1c 6.0 to 6.4% (42 to 46 mmol/mol)
