Meta-analysis of studies that evaluated 25(OH)D levels in healthy young children in Africa. For case-control studies, we only included mean 25(OH)D levels of healthy controls in the meta-analysis. Means of age in months are presented. Studies that only measured 25(OH)D levels in cord blood, reported only median values, or did not report estimates from young children (aged 0–8 years) separately from older children were excluded from these analyses.
