From: Effect of evidence updates on key determinants of measles vaccination impact: a DynaMICE modelling study in ten high-burden countries

Fig. 4

Measles vaccination impact by calendar year. Measles cases, deaths, and disability-adjusted life years by vaccination strategies and countries are presented based on the model results of the ‘full-update’ scenario that includes all the updates of key determinants. In India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Ethiopia, and other 6 countries (Afghanistan, Sudan, Tanzania, Niger, Somalia, DR Congo) with high measles burden, a substantial reduction of measles burden can be attributed to MCV1, while MCV2 and SIAs contribute to the maintenance of low-level measles transmission. Abbreviations: MCV1 first routine dose of measles-containing vaccine, MCV2 second routine dose of measles-containing vaccine, SIAs supplementary immunisation activities
