Included guidelines were classified as “pregnancy-specific guidelines” if the scope of the guideline pertained only to the management of pregnant, intrapartum, or postnatal women. The most common disease categories covered by pregnancy-specific guidelines were cardiovascular diseases, mental and substance use disorders, and diabetes mellitus.
