Impact of Endotoxin (LPS) on BRITE Adipocyte Response to Adrenergic Stimulus. Lean (A1, B1) and obese (A2, B2) primary human adipocytes were differentiated with or without 2 µM rosiglitazone (Rosi), 100 ng/mL lipopolysaccharide (LPS100) or a combination of the two. When fully differentiated, cells were treated with 10 µM isoproterenol (Iso). BAT genes uncoupling protein 1 (UCP1) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1-alpha (PGC1α) were analyzed using RT-PCR with L19 as a housekeeping control. Data are presented as mean ± SEM. Two-way ANOVA was used to test significance; *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001, ****p < 0.0001 compared to control; # p < 0.05, ## p < 0.01, ### p < 0.001, #### p < 0.0001 compared to Iso treatment; ƒ p < 0.05, ƒƒ p < 0.01, ƒƒƒ p < 0.001, ƒƒƒƒ p < 0.0001 compared to Rosi + Iso treatment
