Group I: injured, non-transplanted; Group II: injured, transplanted with normal hPMSCs via the jugular vein; Group III: injured, transplanted with X-ray-treated hPMSCs via the portal vein; Group IV: injured, transplanted with normal hPMSCs via the portal vein. The survival rate of Group IV was prolonged significantly compared with the other three groups (P < 0.05).
