Further complications for aspirin and MS Chris Exley, Keele University 3 August 2015 Many aspirin products include aluminium hydroxide as a buffer to expedite its absorpiton across the GI tract. We have identified a link between MS and exposure to aluminium, a link which is currently the subject of a clinical trial. I would urge caution in respect of individuals taking buffered aspirin products and adding to their body burden of aluminium.
