The equation for this model is as follows: Logit [ Pr (PTB2=1/Risk factors)] = β0 + β1 (PTB1) + β2 (risk factor X2) + β3 (PTB1) × (risk factor X2), where PTB1 and PTB2 are indicators of a preterm birth in the first and second pregnancy, respectively. Risk factor X2 is a risk factor in the second pregnancy. The model shows a single risk factor, but additional risk factors were added by including additional terms for each risk factor and its interaction with the first pregnancies’ preterm delivery status, PTB1
