Adjusted means of BMI, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and blood glucose were estimated using linear regression models adjusted for age, sex, study area (10 regions), marital status, BMI (for non-BMI outcomes; continuous), household income, survey season, highest education level, physical activity, smoking, alcohol drinking, family history of cancer (yes or no), family history of CVD (yes or no), intake of red meat, poultry, eggs, fish, soybeans, fruit, dairy (never/rarely, monthly, 1–3 days/week, regularly), and fresh vegetables (daily or less than daily) at baseline.
