  1. Data are expressed as n (%) and median (25th–75th). Propensity score matching was conducted according to age, sex, and Townsend deprivation index (assigned by the postcode of participant location, which reflects the level of social deprivation in which the participant lives) for subjects with and without MAFLD. The recording of alcohol intake is based on recalling and estimating the average total amount of red wine, liquor, beer, and fruit wine consumed per week or month
